2g Alum Deedee Lynn Magno went to her junior prom with N'Sync's J.C. At the time, she was still a Mouseketeer on the Mickey Mouse Club (with Britney, Christina, and Justin). Since then, the man of her dreams has entered her life - another 2g performer, Cliffton Hall. The two will be married this week in Hawaii. Congratulations to Deedee and Cliffton!!!

Thanks for all your enthusiastic feedback for our first newsletter. Keep those comments coming! So many exciting things are happening: The Wedding Banquet going on tour in August, preparation for Concert of Excellence 2003, the upcoming In the Works Readings, and the ongoing Karaoke Show, of course, just to name a few. Follow the progression of these projects! Want to know how it's all done? Tune in next month to find out how the creative team pulled together the music and lyrics for The Wedding Banquet.

And! While I wasn't there to witness it myself - my loss - Roger Fan, star of Asian American director Justin Lin's Better Luck Tomorrow (BLT) graced us with his presence and showed off his singing and dancing talents at the Karaoke Show on April 3. Check out his pictures on . If you missed seeing him in person, catch him in BLT showing in theatres around the country. Thanks to the grassroots efforts of people like you, the movie is breaking records and doing great!

Standing at 5 ft 9in, Cindy Cheung is not quite the typical Chinese you'd expect. Born and raised in LA, California, Cindy is living life to the fullest in The Big Apple, doing all the things she loves and having lots of fun along the way. While most of her work is in theater, Cindy has also done some writing, TV, and film. In fact, catch her in the upcoming Spiderman II... [].

Q: How does 2g fund its programs?
2g funds many of its programs through the generous support and contributions of our donors, people like yourselves. The company also receives funding through various governmental grants and corporate sponsorships, for both programs and general operating expenses. In addition, 2g hosts the annual Concert of Excellence, our largest fundraising event, in the fall of each year. Incidentally, the 3rd Annual Concert of Excellence will take place on November 3rd, 2003 at Lincoln Center's beautiful State Theater.
