  Meet the Principals
Finding the core people to cast in a brand new musical is always a daunting task. For The Wedding Banquet, the creative team combed the United States - New York, LA, and Seattle - for the six principals and twelve ensemble members who will perform in this touching and funny new musical. After meeting with 170 actors, the team, including Tony-nominated director John Tillinger, authors Welly Yang, Brian Yorkey, and composer Woody Pak, cast them from all three cities, with some even based in Toronto, Canada! Each actor had his own unique experience with Second Generation and his or her own reason for hopping onboard with the project. [more]
